The Union Fire Company No. 1 regrets to announce the passing of Past Chief Joseph H. Poff.
Chief Poff became an Active Member of the Union Fire Company No. 1 in 1953 and held numerous positions including Fire Lieutenant, Fire Captain, Fire Police Lieutenant and held the position of Fire Chief in 1967 and 1968. He was also a very active driver of both the Ambulance and Fire apparatus.
Chief Poff played a large part in the history of our fire company. We can not thank him enough for his dedication and service.
