Engine and Tanker on the move in Charlestown

On Friday morning around 9:15, the Union Fire Company No.1 was requested to assist the Charlestown Fire company (Cecil County Station 5) as part of the first alarm tanker task force for a residential structure fire in the 600 block of Carpenters Point Road in Cecil County. Tanker 21 (Lt. Bennett) responded shortly after dispatch and supplied six loads of water from the fill-site to the scene throughout the incident. At 11:15 Engine 21-2 was dispatched to assist at the incident scene with additional personnel.

Engine 21-2 (Holmes) responded with a crew of five members and assisted with over-haul and extinguishing hot spots within the dwelling.

Both units were back in town around 3:30pm.
