On Sunday evening the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted to assist The Singerly Fire Company of Elkton (Stations 3, 13 and 14) on a Working House Fire in the 100 Block of Kirkcaldy Dr in Elkton, MD.

Elkton units were on location with a Working Fire in a Single Family Dwelling. First in crews operated on the interior before going defensive for a short time, and then re-entering.

Engine 21-4 was the first Chester County unit to arrive and was instructed to pick up the supply line at the corner of Kirkcaldy Dr and Ballantrae Dr to send water to the fire scene, with New Castle Engine 9 operating at a nearby hydrant.

Engine 21-2 and Tanker 21 arrived and proceeded closer to the scene. Firefighters from Oxford operated to extinguish the fire with crews from Cecil, Chester and New Castle Counties.
