Box 2701

At 0621 hours, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for an Engine as a part of the First Alarm assignment to assist the Cochranville Fire Company (27) for a reported house on fire with subjects trapped on Bailey Crossroads Road in West Fallowfield Township.

Engine 21-2 (Captain Kane), Engine 21-4 (Lt. Bennett), and Tanker 21 (Chief Engineer Obenchain), Deputy 21 (Meadowcroft) responded within minutes with a total of 10 personnel.

Crews arrived to find a 2.5 story, balloon frame, farmhouse with fire showing from all floors. It was confirmed that all occupants had made it out of the house safely.

Arriving crews from Oxford assisted with interior fire suppression and overhaul operations on all floors. Tanker 21 was utilized in the water supply operations, while Engine 21-2 was used for drafting operations.

Crews remained on scene for several hours before being released by Command.
