Today, Union Fire members took part in the 2nd Annual 911 BBQ at the VFW in West Chester. The 911 BBQ is a friendly competition of Chester County public safety officials grilling their tastiest foods. This year, the Union team won the People’s Choice award!
This event has raised between 5-10k each year to benefit the Chester County Crime Victims Center. Union Fire is proud to support this great cause by taking part in the competition. We would like to give a big thank you to Dave Maurer and Ashley Coyle for making this event better every year. We’ll see you in 2020!
While these members were competing, two members attended fire training at the Public Safety Training Center, and we responded to 1 vehicle accident and 5 medical incidents throughout the day.
