Just after 7:30am on Labor Day, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted for an Engine to assist the Community Fire Company of Rising Sun (MD) on a House fire on Taylor Lane in the Harrisville section of Cecil County, MD.
Responding units could see a large column of smoke in the sky, with Assistant Chief 8 requesting the Tanker Task Force, adding Tanker 21 to the assignment.
Engine 21-2 and Tanker 21 made the response. The Tanker provided water to the fire scene as the Engine crew assisted with fire suppression and overhaul on Side C of the house.
