While clearing a fire alarm in Lower Oxford, Engine 21-1 was alerted to respond to the area of Barnsley Road and Media Road in East Nottingham Township for a report of a vehicle on fire in the roadway.
Engine 21-1 (Assistant Chief Kane) arrived on scene and reported a sedan on the shoulder of the roadway, fully involved in fire.
Engine 21-1 crew members deployed the "Bumper Line," a 150' 1.75" attack hose off of the front bumper, and quickly extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported during this incident.
Station 21 Fire Police closed the roadway for the duration of the incident.
