This morning, the Union Fire Company No. 1 was alerted to the 600 block of Limestone Road, in Upper Oxford Township, for a reported auto accident. Additional 911 calls to the Chester County 911 Center indicated an occupant was possibly trapped. This report required additional resources to be dispatched from Medic 94 and Rescue 27 (Cochranville).
Station 21 EMS units were the first to arrive on the scene. EMS Captain Decker reported a multiple-vehicle accident with one subject trapped in a pickup truck.
Engine 21-4 (Captain Kern) arrived on-site and began patient extrication, utilizing battery powered hydraulic rescue tools to remove the driver's door of the vehicle.
Rescue 27 and Engine 22-1 assisted on scene.
3 individuals were transported to local hospitals.
Deputy Chief Woolston held the "Limestone Road Command."
Stations 21 and 22 fire police maintained traffic control around the incident scene.
